KEPAWAE EMPOWERMENT OF THE PROFESSIONAL WOMAN

About 227 women were trained on IT in 2001 through Ford Foundation. As a result of this training, many members utilized the skills to source for information through internet including accessing scholarships for postgraduate courses, seminars, workshops etc.

Connectivity Training Program: - Through Ford Foundation, 187 members in all regions were trained in it and computers provided to the regions to for better communication in 2002.

Project Development Training (TOT):-Trained 24 TOTs members picked from all the 8 provinces.

Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Training: -At least 16 KEPAWAE members were successfully trained at Kenya Institute of Administration and at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agric. & Technology, Nairobi campus through grants from Ford Foundation.
